Our doctors will ask questions about your pet's history and lifestyle before deciding which vaccination strategy will work best for you. Every pet is different, and each has unique vaccinations needs.
We follow the recommendations of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) for routine vaccinations in dogs and cats.
Rabies vaccination is particularly important, and is required by the state of Alabama. One year or three year vaccinations can be given to adult pets. Puppies and kittens must receive their initial vaccination at 12 weeks of age and a follow-up vaccination at 1 year before being eligible for the three year vaccination schedule.
Set up an appointment with Dr. Fastenrath or Dr. Grider today to learn more about specific vaccination recommendations for your pet!
